Course Title: Walkability & Health Are Hot Tickets in Housing.

Course Description: Public health officials are increasingly partnering with professionals in planning, transportation, real estate, development, and others to advocate for and implement “healthy” community designs. All agree that improving walkability, bicycle-, and transit-friendliness can provide triple bottom line benefits: enhanced economic vibrancy, greater environmental sustainability, and improved public health. And the quality of life benefits leads to more desirable neighborhoods for residents of all ages, abilities, and incomes. This engaging and thought-provoking presentation will challenge you to think about how we can all influence healthy design in our own work and life, and the many benefits to ourselves, our families, and our communities.

This course has been approved by the MN Commissioner of Commerce for 1.5 hours of real estate continuing education credit.

Presenter: Mark Fenton, National Public Health, Planning and Transportation Consultant

Course Title: Future of Real Estate

Course Description: Who is buying today, why are they buying, why it differs than in the past? The presentation will cover how businesses and members can plan for that change in a top 11 list of trends. How can agents understand how longer lifespans, a growth in multi-generational families, a drop-in marriage rates, and plummet in childbearing is here and is changing buying? How is housing affordability playing a role and what’s the deal with student debt? How can our members help all generations with the buying and selling transaction?

This course has been approved by the MN Commissioner of Commerce for 1.5 hours of real estate continuing education credit.
